Dunlop 6105 Frets

DUNLOP 6105 FRETS

This neck belongs to a seventies Fender Strat I refreted in 2017. The owner of the Strat is a long time friend and customer, Reggie Wu, who told me the last fret job was done by me 25 years ago. Those frets were beat! The old frets were Dunlop jumbo frets and the new frets are Dunlop 6105’s, which are more narrow and higher than a jumbo fret. .090 wide and .055 high.

THESE FRETS FEEL AWESOME!

They are high enough that your fingers don’t drag on the finger board and narrow enough that they feel less clunky than a jumbo fret, which can be up .020 wider. I read that the Dunlop 6105’s are Jeff Beck’s preference.  That’s saying something!
