Brought my 1992 Mesa Boogie 50 caliber amp in for service. This is the fourth time I had the amp serviced since I bought it and the first time it was done right and finally works and sounds like the day I first came home. Also the repair fee charged was more than reasonable. Thanks Rick.

I took my Martin acoustic guitar in for service to get the action lowered, straighten the neck, and seal a crack on the back of the neck. The guitar was pretty much unplayable and did not sound too good for whatever reason. Rick brought my guitar back to life! The guitar ended up sounding better than ever it's astonishing, and it's even more enjoyable to play with. I am very impressed with his fine attention to detail and very satisfied with his service.

Rick is a true pro when it comes to his craft.....You can take your gear to a "music store" and get the 5 year repair-person or you can go to Rick: a proven master at his craft. As a former professional player years ago, my ear and feel are quite particular; borderline fussy and Rick provided the best setup I have ever had on my Fender Stratocaster. Stopped in for the first time to pick up a cord for an amp my son found in the basement on rainy afternoon. The guy at the register (Rick?) didn't have one in stock and as he was recommending heading someplace else, he said, "If it's just for knock around use, take the one on the amp there. No charge" That's all I need to know to earn my trust and my business. I look forward to going back in the near future.

I brought my Les Paul to Rick to correct a botched nut replacement*. He explained (in detail) what he was going to do, what materials would be used and how long it would take. We then went over some of the finer points (picking style, string gauges, etc). He then gave me a very reasonable quote and we agreed on a pickup date.When I picked it up, the work he did exceeded my expectations. I could tell just by looking at the new, unbleached bone nut that the work was professionally done and to my specifications. It was perfect. He then charged me exactly what we agreed upon, no hidden charges. I can’t recommend him highly enough, and would definitely use him again. Very professional.*side note: be very cautious when choosing a repair shop. The original replacement was done by a “manufacturer certified service center”. I honestly don’t know what skill level is needed to become “certified”, but it seems that the bar is set quite low.

So glad I brought my guitar to get repaired by Rick! I was having some issues with the electronics of my acoustic-electric Ibanez (sound dropping out when plugged in), as well as a crack on the neck that I just never got repaired. I was worried it would be too expensive and I may not be able to afford having it repaired, however Rick was very reasonable and explained his plan for the whole process. He gave me a very accurate estimate and taught me some added helpful tips about guitar maintenance. He’s very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. We’ll be coming back to Rick for any instrument tune ups or needs in the future.

Just had my guitar set up and new pickups put in at Rick's store. He also helped me with a non-typical switch setup where I can add a middle pickup with a two-way switch. I found out about Rick’s great work with repairs on instruments, amps etc. I decided to have him work on my 59 Gretsch Country Gentleman and my Fylde acoustic (from England); two high end instruments. After Rick did his thing to my guitars , the action, the tonation etc etc etc , the end result was a phenomenal, precision job. Rick is extremely meticulous with his work, and went beyond my expectations. My guitars never ever felt and played as they do now. Check out Mainline Music in Ardmore and get Rick to do his magic . Amp was never totally repaired. There's a constant hum that could not get repaired. OK, fine. But now my brand new, expensive power tubes are red plating. Now I'm going to have to take the amp somewhere to get it fixed again and I'm guessing these power tubes are toast. I think my original tubes might have also gotten destroyed because of this bias/voltage/whatever issue and those tubes were also really expensive.

Rick did an awesome job on my 75 Princeton Reverb! It was having intermittent issues with the reverb and would randomly drop volume. Rick diagnosed the issue quickly and did an awesome fix. Super happy he’s in the area! Such a helpful and friendly guy. Excited to work with him in the future.
